Katalox Wood Cufflinks, Accessories, and Jewelry

These cufflinks are made of highly polished wood from the Katalox or Mexican Ebony tree of Mexico and Central America. Latin name is Swartzia cubensis. The grain and features are captured very well. Katalox is a beautifully grained, exotic hardwood. All of this marbling, grain and striations that you see is 100% natural. The wood is a dark brown with notes of purple. The wood naturally grows like this. We love wearing these ones because they look great without being over the top or gaudy. The shape is generally rectangular, sawn by a miter saw, but curved by being sanded. They are clear coated, then sanded once again for good measure and clear coated again! This way they have a deep luster to them. They were pretty labor intensive :) Katalox is the perfect wood for any formal occasion! These are made with pride in the USA!
